History

BWaTS, as a group, has well over 100 years of combined experience among the members. The history dates back to early childhood for some and teenage years for others. They have had the opportunity to perform with acts such as Willie Nelson, Porter Wagoner, Lee Greenwood, Tammy Wynette, Bob Hope, Gary Collins and the former President Ronald Reagan, not to mention others. But our main stay is you. We are here because you want us here. Thank you !!!

Although some of the faces have changed a bit in the past couple of years, the experience has not. The total commitment is to the music, and all those who choose to come see the band live. We have and always will play for the people and to the people. Having played for the past several years in Columbus, and surrounding areas, the newness has never waned. Even when traveling the road in the early 70’s, 80’s & 90’s. from Texas to Canada, from Hilton Head to Denver, the excitement is still there, and always will be.

Being able to cover over five decades of music styles, this band plays such hits as “Shook Me All Night Long ” by AC/DC, “Breathe” Faith Hill, “Brick House” The Commodores, “In The Midnight Hour, Mustang Sally” by Wilson Pickett, “We’re An American Band” Grand Funk Railroad, “Brown Eyed Girl” Van Morrison, and many many more, these just to name a few. This dynamic group of performers guarantees to make your event “a memorable one.” Big Woody and The Splinters wants you to know how important you are to us. We want to be your source of excellent entertainment. Let us know what would make it happen for you, and it will. Each time BWaTS plays in town, or in a place near you, we’ll do our best to let you know where the party is. Thanks for letting us be a part of you.

Every time the band hits the road there’s an air about us that no one can take away. The term “Road Trip” takes on a whole new meaning. Still, “the wine the women the song,” the tales. And yet another story to tell. After all, we’re still paying the dues, It’s just a different way of doing things. This gal, these five guys have continued to have more fun for themselves and the party they play for, than should be allowed by law. If anyone else wants to join the train, we’re leaving from the station in just a few minutes…………………..

ALL ABOARD !! Most of all please remember this:

Without you, there is no BIG WOODY & THE SPLINTERS.
